Male airmen's basic annual replacement allowance decreased by $3.60 to $244.80. The basic rate is paid during airmen's first three years of continuous active duty. Their standard annual replacement rate, which applies after they have completed three years on active duty, also fell $3.60, to $349.20.
The basic replacement allowance for female airmen decreased $3.60 to $248.40. The standard allowance for female airmen fell by $7.20, to $352.80.
Enlisted airmen get a complete set of uniforms and accessories when they enter the service. Afterward, they receive annual allowances based on how long it takes an item to wear out. It's calculated by dividing item cost by life expectancy.
