Three airmen face court-martial trials on unrelated charges of rape and sexual assault. According to documents filed with the Judge Advocate General's office:
• Airman 1st Class Eriberto Gomez An airman is facing charges that he allegedly raped a female colleague in January while stationed at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey,
According to documents filed with the Judge Advocate General's office, Airman First Class Eriberto Gomez is accused of raping another airman in January near Istanbul, Turkey.
Gomez is part of the 39th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Incirlik. The official charge sheets did not state what unit the alleged victim is assigned to.
The Air Force Times was unable to reach Gomez or his legal representative for comment.
A court martial is set for Dec.14.
An airman is facing charges that he committed rape at or near Fort MacArthur, Calif., according to records filed with the Judge Advocate General's office.
• Master Sgt. Quincy James of the 61st Medical Squadron at Los Angeles Air Force Base, is charged with rape using force in a Nov. 29 incident near Fort MacArthur, California. that occurred Nov. 29, 2014, according to court records.
A court martial is set for Jan.11. The Air Force Times could not reach James nor his legal counsel for comment.
According to Air Force personnel records, James works as a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy officer. He entered active duty in July 1993, and has received the Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal.
• Airman 1st Class Tenzin Tharchin faces charges for allegedly raping a woman while she was asleep or unconscious in According to official documents filed with the Judge Advocate General’s office, two separate incidents in November took place in Nov. 2014 on or near Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, where Tharchin is assigned as a member of the 71st Operations Support Squadron.
According to a spokesperson for the 71st, Tharchin denies the charges, and has no prior criminal or disciplinary record.
Air Force records show that Tharchin joined the service in August 2013.
A court-martial is set for Jan. 19.
