DOTHAN, Ala. — Authorities say a former airman accused of raping a Dothan man has been arrested.
Dothan Police Lt. Will Glover tells the Dothan Eagle that 29-year-old Frankey Lee Peterman Jr. was arrested Thursday. Peterman has been charged with felony first-degree forcible rape.
Records show the indictment stemmed from an investigation dating back to April 2014. Glover says police determined in their investigation the victim didn't know her assailant.
A webpage post in 2014 from the Mountain House Air Force Base in Idaho says Peterman was a staff sergeant in the Air Force. He was convicted of sexually assaulting a fellow airman while she slept and was sentenced to two years in jail.
Peterman is being held at the Houston County Jail. It's not clear if Peterman has an attorney.
