A former Barksdale airman will spend 72 months in prison and be supervised for 10 years afterwards as his punishment for downloading more than 9,000 files of child pornography.

Additionally, U.S. District Judge S. Maurice Hicks Jr. ordered Isaac Boger, 22, of Auburn, Ind., to pay $2,000 in connection with his plea in March to one count of receiving child pornography, according to a news release Wednesday from U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley.

Boger was arrested in January 2013 as part of an Operation Child Watch child pornography investigation. After an investigation indicated child pornography was being downloaded onto a computer at the Barksdale Air Force Base.

Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, Homeland Security Investigations special agents, Immigration and Customs agents, U.S. Air Force agents, Springhill police and Bossier City Marshal's Office personnel executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Douhet Dr. in Bossier City. Investigators found more than 82,000 images and videos of child pornography that Boger had downloaded from November 2012 to January 2013.

He also distributed child pornography to an undercover Springhill police officer. Springhill police secured the initial arrest warrant before the case was moved to federal court.
