Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh announced on Oct. 9 the following assignments:
Maj. Gen. Michael Keltz, director, intelligence, operations, and nuclear integration, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, to commander, 19th Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.
Brig. Gen. John Cherrey, deputy director, intelligence, operations, and nuclear integration for flying training, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, will replace Keltz as director of intelligence, operations, and nuclear integration at AETC.
The Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency became the the 25th Air Force on Sept. 29.
Welsh as a result announced on Oct. 3 that the Air Force ISR Agency's commander, Maj. Gen. John Shanahan, became the commander of the 25th Air Force, Air Combat Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
ISR Agency vice commander, Brig. Gen. (select) Peter Lambert, also became the vice commander of the 25th Air Force, Air Combat Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
Welsh on Sept 25 announced:
Brig. Gen. Cedric George, director, system integration, deputy chief of staff for logistics, installations and mission support, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia, to deputy director, resource integration, deputy chief of staff for logistics, installations and mission support, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced on Sept. 18 that the president has nominated:
Air Force Brig. Gen. Derek Rydholm has been nominated to the rank of major general. Rydholm is currently serving as director, plans, programs and requirements, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.
