Some master sergeants and senior master sergeants in the explosive ordnance disposal career field are now eligible for a critical skills retention bonus worth between $30,000 and $75,000, the Air Force Personnel Center said Friday.
To be eligible for the bonus, those senior noncommissioned officers must re-enlist on or after May 13, 2015. They also must have at least 20 years of service, but no more than 22 years of service.
Master sergeants who re-enlist under this program will automatically get a high year tenure waiver, and have their tenure adjusted to the maximum-allowed 25 years.
The bonuses could be payable in a lump sum or in periodic installments, AFPC said.
The EOD career field's Air Force Specialty Code is 3E8X1.
