An information management specialist assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations Air Force Tech. Sgt. Wiley R. Davis, 38,  was crushed while working beneath a vehicle at his Georgia home late Thursday.

Davis Air Force Tech. Sgt. Wiley R. Davis, 38, was working on an automobile at his residence when the vehicle apparently slid off jack stands while he was working underneath the car, according to a press release from the Office of Special Investigations.

Davis' 14-year-old son immediately called 911 and local police responded, but Davis was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the OSI release. 

Davis was is an Information Management Specialist assigned to Air Force Office of Special Investigations at the U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, Glynco, Georgia. He entered the Air Force in 1999. He was also a pastor in his church.

No foul play is suspected. OSI Detachment 211 at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, will work with local police on the investigation.

The OSI release also detailed Davis' Air Force career. In June 2015, Tech. Sgt. Davis became the NCOIC of Administration at the U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy for OSI. He is survived by his wife and their three children.

Davis began his career as a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprentice at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, with the 37th Civil Engineer Squadron.

In 2005, Tech. Sgt. Davis transitioned into the Knowledge Management career field at the 1st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.

From 2005 until 2010, Davis worked in several Knowledge Management positions at Langley AFB, within the 1st Fighter Wing.

In 2010, Davis took a Special-Duty Assignment as the NCOIC, Knowledge Operations Management, at AFROTC Detachment 157, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida.
