An Air Force general is doing well after collapsing during the Air Force's fiscal 2017 budget unveiling Tuesday.
Maj. Gen. James Martin, deputy assistant secretary for budget under the Air Force's Financial Management and Comptroller office, is back to work, "supporting Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James and Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh at the Senate Appropriations hearing" today, Air Force spokeswoman Maj. Melissa Milner told Air Force Times.
Martin was discussing the future of the F-35 program in the Pentagon briefing room when he passed out. Air Force Deputy for Budget Carolyn Gleason picked up where he left off and continued the briefing.
"That's what the F-35 will do to you," Gleason said, trying to lighten the moment.
Martin went to the hospital just as a precaution on Tuesday, Milner said.
