February means it's once again time for the 32nd annual Air Force Association Air Warfare Symposium in Orlando, Fla. The conference takes place Feb. 24–26.
This year's topic is "Global Precision Attack." AFA said "these capabilities are increasingly challenged, yet the necessity to meet today's demands and support the Joint Forces' ability to hold any target at risk is imperative."
Leadership from across the Air Force will travel to the event at the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel. Attendees will include Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh, Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James, Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force James Cody, Air Combat Command leader Gen. Hawk Carlisle, Air Force Material Command leader Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski, Global Strike Command leader Gen. Robin Rand, and more.
Industry leaders will join them, including representatives from top defense contractors such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman. And the event will feature a technology exposition where vendors can show off the latest and greatest in their aerospace systems.
The event typically draws between 850 and 950 people, but this year AFA said they're expecting roughly 1,200 attendants.
Other topics of discussion are to include close air support, global reach capabilities, the role of space in warfare, and cutting-edge technology.
Air Force Times and sister publication Defense News will be covering the event all week long. Stay tuned for coverage of the speakers, roundtables, and exclusive interviews.
