Disbrow oversees the Air Force's budget plan, which requests $120.4 billion for fiscal 2017, and is the co-chair of the Air Force Council, the service's top decision-making body.
Her prior service includes advising the Air Force secretary and chief of staff on financial matters, as well as evaluating and conducting war fighting studies under of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Disbrow was also a special adviser from 2006 to 2007 to President George W. Bush for policy implementation and execution, according to her biography.
She retired as a colonel from the Air Force Reserve with expertise in intelligence analysis and Middle East affairs.
Disbrow replaced Eric Fanning, who became Air Force under secretary in April 2013.
