The Air Force selected 26 airmen for supplemental promotions, the Air Force Personnel Center announced Friday.
Half of the airmen are selected for promotion to senior master sergeant. Nine others will be promoted to staff sergeant; two will become technical sergeants; one is selected for master sergeant; and one will be promoted to chief master sergeant.
The selections were based on promotion scores under the Weighted Airman Promotion System, which includes factors such as time in grade, time in service, enlisted performance reports, decorations, promotion fitness examination scores and specialty knowledge test scores. Promotions to senior master sergeant instead consider the Air Force supervisory exam and board scores.
