Air Force Lt. Brandon Teel of Arkansas is being credited with saving a man's life on April 3 when he took out his weapon and held the man's brother, who is suspected of stabbing the man, until Austin Police arrived, reported KATV.

Teel called 911 with one hand and held the suspect there with his weapon in the other. When police arrived, they found Darren Terry, 47 with three lacerations. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and his brother, Chris Terry, 30, was taken into custody for suspected first-degree battery with a bond of $10,000, according to KATV.

"Lt. Teel is a perfect example of a responsible concealed carry permit holder," Austin police Chief Bill Duerson told KATV. "He acted heroically in the face of extreme danger and avoided a tragedy."
