SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Romanian man has been sentenced to two years in prison for conspiring to bribe an official with the U.S. Air Force to win a lucrative contract.

U.S. District Judge Troy Nunley on Thursday sentenced 65-year-old Constantin Schiller for his involvement in a bribery scheme to win multi-million contracts for the Romanian company Polaris M. Holdings. Schiller and three co-defendants offered the officer a 10 percent cut.

Polaris bid on a $10 million contract in 2015 to supply storage containers to an Air Force base in Romania. Owner Dumitru Martin traveled to Travis Air Force Base in California to execute the bribe.

The Air Force officer was working with federal authorities.

Martin was previously sentenced to 13 years in prison. Two other defendants will be sentenced in November.
