President Donald Trump visited Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, Friday to discuss military weapons and technology capabilities and learn about the 56th Fighter Wing’s pilot training mission.
Afterward, Trump convened with cabinet members, congressmen and defense industry leaders in a roundtable discussion on current defense issues, including cybersecurity, stealth technology and F-35 development.
Turkish pilots and maintainers have arrived at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona to begin training on their first two F-35 fighter aircraft.

Trump praised the F-35’s capabilities and the progression of its pilot training program, according to an Air Force new release..
“Our mission is simple," Canterbury said, according to the release. "We train the world’s greatest fighter pilots here. Luke Air Force Base is responsible for training about 95 percent of the United States Air Force’s fighter pilots.”
U.S. enlisted airmen must be comfortable working alongside allied and partner nations in case a conflict with China erupts, the CMSAF David Flosi said.
"It flies like a dream," ACC head Gen. Kenneth Wilsbach said of the new EA-37B Compass Call, a heavily adapted Gulfstream jet that will replace the EC-130.
