Track Palin is the subject of negative press once again after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman inside his Wasilla, Alaska, residence.

The Army veteran and son of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin was taken into custody Saturday and has been charged with fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, interfering with a domestic violence report and disorderly conduct, the Anchorage Daily News reported.

Track Palin, an Iraq war veteran who deployed with the 25th Infantry Division’s 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team in 2008, reportedly took the woman’s phone away following the alleged assault to prevent her from contacting the police, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Saturday’s arrest marks the second time in less than a year, and third time since 2016, that he has been arrested on domestic violence charges.

In December 2017, Track Palin was charged with burglary, fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief after an altercation at his parents' residence, during which he took his father to the ground and repeatedly struck him in the head, leaving him bleeding, according to a police affidavit.

Sarah Palin was the one who called the police during that incident. She stated that her son “was freaking out and was on some type of medication,” the affidavit said.

Track Palin pleaded guilty to a criminal trespassing misdemeanor following the 2017 incident as part of a plea agreement, a deal that also included his enrollment in a veterans therapy program.

In 2016, he was sentenced to two years of probation following yet another domestic violence arrest after a woman identified as his girlfriend told authorities the veteran punched her in the face and was in possession of a firearm during her visit to the family’s home.

Police arrived at the home to find Track Palin “uncooperative, belligerent and evasive,” according to the January 2016 affidavit.

His girlfriend, Jordan Loewe, was found hiding and crying underneath a bed.
