Air Force selects 997 for major, lt. col., colonel promotion

The Air Force has selected 997 officers for promotion in a variety of categories, according to a Wednesday release.

The Air Force Personnel Center said 652 captains have been selected for promotion to major in the medical corps, dental corps, biomedical sciences corps, chaplains, medical service corps and nurse corps categories.

Also, 260 majors have been selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel in the medical corps, dental corps, biomedical sciences corps, chaplain, and medical service corps categories.

And 85 lieutenant colonels have been selected to be colonel in the medical corps, dental corps, biomedical sciences corps and the medical service corps categories.
