A pilot program for online Weighted Airman Promotion System tests would likely involve multiple bases around the globe. Leaders hope to give noncommissioned officers a pay raise and change how the military calculates benefits like housing stipends. “It’s tough to look at the airmen and say, ‘Yes, we have tough economic times, but I’m going to cut your pay anyway,” Gen.
